With Knobs On

I found an old engineering factory stuffed with vintage test equipment, electronic components, bits of hydraulics, tubing, fittings, nuts, bolts washers, grommets, assorted engineering tools, materials and loads of miscellany and books on various technical topics. It seemed a pity to leave it al there so I bought it and want to share the joy. When I say share, I really mean sell at reasonable prices - I'm always open to offers...

I will add items as I uncover them which is a slow process... so if you are interested in this type of thing subscribe using the 'Get an Email...' box at the top or right-hand sidebar

If you are looking for anything in particular please email me and I will let you know if something fitting turns up.  Alternatively, just keep an eye on the blog.

You can email wko@skyminer.co.uk  - PREFERRED :-)

SOLD Phasorscope TMS 280 - Electronic phase & amplitude display vectorscope.

Phasorscope TMS 280 is a vectorscope made by Feedback Ltd. Electronic phase & amplitude display scope for audio, radio and video - circa 1968. Direct measurements of the phase and amplitude characteristics of passive and active networks from 30Hz to 1OM Hz.

Best offer over £50

The screen lights up and the beam is steady and can be centred using the R/L U/D controls. The fans fun quietly and a one hour test shows no change in display stability or any overheating. I do not know how to use this unit so cannot test its operation.  I assume there is some fine tuning or switch cleaning required as the beam wanders when using some of the switches.

There is a comprehensive description of functions and features in the summary sales leaflet.

There is also a full manual which includes instructions, descriptions of modules, component lists and circuit diagrams.

The scope measures 45cm (w) x 32cm (h) x 49cm (d) and weighs 32kg (inc manual and packaging). Buyer to pay shipping by preferred carrier (e.g. UPS, DPD, Hermes, Parcel Force etc). A check on https://www.parcel2go.com shows shipping prices to mainland UK from £12. Or collect in person from Frome, Somerset.

NORGREN Miniature Pressure Regulator

NORGREN Miniature Pressure Regulator -

Model R06 Relieving 3bar / 50psi

£10 each +p&p [e.g. £3.00 via 2nd class mail to Mainland UK]

Brand new and boxed. It is 4cm square at the base and the height is 7cm. The box include fitting instructions in four languages: English, French, German and (I think) a Slavic language - check it out in the photos above. There are four ports available and two blanking plugs if you only need a single inlet and outlet. Once the desired pressure is obtained, the pressure regulating knob can be locked in position to prevent an accidental change in pressure.

I have a number of these and do not need them all so am making space. This is a quality item for professional use - and you could get it for a hobby price :-)

If you are interested in buying one or more of these, get in touch via the comments below or email wko@skyminer.co.uk
